A Christmas Presentation
‘Twas the night before Christmas and all through the house,
ALL creatures were stirring, even the mouse.
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.
The children were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of sugar-plums danced in their heads.
And mamma in her βkerchief, and I in my cap,
Had just settled our brains for a long winterβs nap.
When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.
The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.
The stockings were hung with each person’s name,
In hopes they were stuffed with anything unlame.
The adults were nestled all snug, stories they were telling,
While the “kids” hiding out, keeping away from all the yelling.
And Mama Samaan in her apron, and I in my dress,
Had just readied our stomachs for a long dinnerβs fest.
And that was all I re-wrote, hope you like the poem fix,
for it’s a lot of work, hard thinking, and it’s now time for the pics!
Christmas tradition for my boyfriend’s family includes about 15-20 family members joining in on a five course meal, games, prize-winning, and Secret Santa present-opening. Last year, just like every year, the food rocks (to say the least), but check out this year. Enjoy!
Hope you had a wonderful Christmas/Holiday!
And got everything you wanted…
