Happy wet, rainy, cold Friday! I hope you are reading this somewhere warm with your hot cup of tea or coffee, bundled in a sweater, or scarf. I know I am.

Speaking of Friday, today we’re going to play a game. This game is incredibly similar to Simon Says but since Simon is not here, nor is this his blog, the game has been changed to Lori Says. Ready? Good.

Lori Says smile to yourself.

When you smile, even if you’re in a bad mood, it makes you feel better. Promise.

Lori Says if you don’t have your aforementioned cup of hot beverage, go make yourself one. I’ll wait.

Got your coffee/tea/hot toddy in hand? Good. Lori Says you can proceed.

Lori Says green smoothies are good and delicious in every way.

Raise your hand if you think smoothies are good, and raise ‘em high.

Ah ah. Lori didn’t say…

Lori Says raise your hands if you drink a green smoothie semi-daily, if not daily.

*I’m raising my hand too, don’t worry*

Lori Says drinking green smoothies are a sure-fire (great) way to start your morning or end your workout.

Lori Says you can even have a large area in your pantry to home all of your numerous smoothie add-ins…

Mmmmmm greens. And yes, I have WAY more than these.

Lori Says she has a spending problem…

Lori also Says you have to try Lifetime Life’s Basics Plant Protein. And if you don’t obey Lori you lose the game.

Lori Says Lindsay knows her shit stuff. She also has never steered Lori wrong with any of her recommendations. Lori Says trust what Lindsay says because she’s probably right. ;)

Lori Says convert others to the way of the protein…

Lori Says go buy your own (ideally from my Amazon store, ’cause you know, kickbacks are nice..)

Lori Says this is the best tasting protein she has ever tried, and she’s tried a lot. It is easily blended and tastes creamy and delicious and just yummy in every way. When blended, it makes a smoothie thick and luscious (without any gums to hurt Lori’s stomach). Thank you chia seeds.

Lori Says she’s obsessed with this new protein and you should be too. Vanilla, Chocolate, Greens, and Unflavored: They’re all great.

What Lori hasn’t said yet is what really makes this plant-based protein incredible

Not only does Lifetime Life’s Basics Plant Protein have the nutritional panel that beats most whey based proteins’ by far, but the price is more than reasonable for such an outstanding product (it’s cheap! yay!).

Lori Says take a look at this:

Easy-to-digest, energy-boosting protein sources of Pea, Rice, and Hemp with Chia. It’s vegan and does not contain any artificial ingredients or preservatives. Lori Says this is all very good.

Lori Says this is a new green smoothie obsession using Life’s Basics proteins…

  • 1 scoop Lifetime Life’s Basics Vanilla Plant Protein
  • 1 scoop Lifetime Life’s Basics Plant Protein with Greens
  • 1/2 cup frozen mixed berries
  • 1/2 cup (or Lori’s massive 2 cups) fresh spinach and/or greens
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 tbsp maca powder
  • 1 chunk of fresh ginger
  • lots of cinnamon
  • tons of ice
  • and/or any other fun supplements you are currently having fun with

Blend with your favorite kitchen power tool. The more ice and less liquids you use the better. Thick is fun. Spoon-required smoothies are best, in Lori’s opinion. (and this stuff makes really great protein ice creams!)

What is your current smoothie obsession?

What protein powders do you love?

Have you tried Lifetimes Life’s Basics Protein???

Lori Says comment now!

Lori also Says have a wonderful Friday and start to your weekend!

I’ve never tried any protein powder like this because well, I’m stupidly cheap.

I _have_ tried life’s basics greens plant protein–love it! Great profile, great price, and it doesn’t make me sick. Spoonable smoothies are so the best. I love the 2 cups of greens (or big handful of cilantro) approach too.

i wish i was a green smoothie fan. i’m just not. i really dislike drinking my calories. i suppose the thicker i make it, the less like drinking it would be, huh?
my fave kind of protein powder is Vitamin World brand rice protein. vanilla. :)
i use it to make pancakes and muffins and add it to my rice farina. when i run out, i sub with TJs peanut flour.
i may just try to make another green smoothie this weekend. i just got a new blender-so i gotta break ‘er in somehow, huh?

I like my smoothies more like pudding. The greener the better. The thicker the better. The chocolatey-er the better…er.

I too am a huge fan of Life’s Basics!

Did you know that simply turning up the corners of your mouth smile-like (whether you want to smile or not) triggers something in your brain that thinks you’re happy and changes the way you feel? How cool is that?

I love smoothies (and green ones are no exception), although they have to be really thick. I don’t drink protein powder too much, mainly because of the price, but that Life’s Basics kind sounds great!

I am actually looking for some protein powder – thanks for the reco!

My favorite breakfast smoothie lately is kale+carrot+lime+apple. Just barely sweet. For snacks I like spinach+banana+peanut butter+ almond milk. Much sweeter.

I haven’t tried Life’s Basics, but I finally bit the bullet and bough a giant package of Vanilla SunWarrior… and I LOVE it! It’s literally the first protein powder that I actually enjoy the taste of. I can’t recommend it highly enough!

googling this powder after my neighbor gave me some to try. on the road of recovery from adrenal exhaustion and protein is my friend but also being a single mom to five kids and earning my BA Degree, homeschooling, living on a farm (you get the drift) I am not always making good choices for protein.

on the label it says not for children…can anyone respond to that? my kids LOVE smoothies and I really wanted a protein powder for them to add. suggestions?
Thanks Lori!

Lifetime Life’s Basics Plant Protein, Vanilla,
1.5 scoops
1 scoop frozen strawberry yogurt
2 cups frozen mango and pineapple
1 cup almond milk
Blend until smooth
This makes enough for breakfast for me and my daughter, along with 1 piece of rye toast with nutella with a sliced banana and we have a power packed breakfast in 10 minutes! She is doing 2 a days for soccer, and I work full time, and in grad school, we both need all the energy we can muster.
