What I Should Eat Wednesday

Posted byLori Posted onMay 18, 2011 Comments22

I do know that today is deemed What I Ate Wednesday but I just can’t help throwing in all sorts of other random bits (bites?) for the day. Take What I Wish I Ate Wednesday, for example.

It’s still relevant, right? I mean, Lindsay does her version of WIAW with What I Worked Wednesday, which I think is beyond fun. I enjoy seeing her workouts and I know I get a ton of ideas from them.

Alright, back on topic… What I should eat Wednesday. I’m not asking for what I should eat this Wednesday, I’m looking for suggestions for next Wednesday. You know, when I’m in Sedona!.. then hiking the Grand Canyon with Katie and Kelly! (I can’t even tell you have excited I am!!)

As you can imagine, there is SO much to see and do in Arizona. Not to mention all there is to eat. Sedona is not only known for its incredible beauty, but for it’s spiritual ambiance. I’m already making a list of vegan/raw/vegetarian restaurants to partake in while I’m there (Saturday of this week through Thursday of next).

I’m not raw, vegan, or veg anymore but I do LOVE the flavors and the food combinations that happen in such recipes.

Don't judge my Picasa artistry

So, what should I eat Wednesday?!

Here’s my list so far:

  1. ChocolaTree Cafe :with a name like this, how can you not want to try this place? Their pies include pecan pie, lemon creme, chocolate puddin’, and spice pie. Their cakes: Double chocolate ganache, German chocolate cake, and tiramisu. All among other incredible sounding food.
  2. Heartline Cafe :I’m sadly missing their Travel to India via Tapas this Tuesday… hopefully they have some delicious specials for next Wednesday. πŸ˜‰
  3. Oaxaca :This one isn’t raw or vegan but it does have a build-your-own ‘Rita station. Sold.
  4. [Your suggestions here]

What else is there to do in Sedona? I mean besides relaxing, yoga, hiking, relaxing, reading, hopefully catching some sun, relaxing, and visiting the Vortexes. I’m seriously thrilled and anxious about that last one: Vortexes. I am a hippie and damn proud of it.

Since today is officially What I Ate Wednesday, I’ll play along… but I still need your suggestions. πŸ˜‰

The most random WIAW ever

How about we start with a giant bowl of green smoothie?

I do love me some green smoothie. Thick and luscious. And topped with Apple Walnut Delight Love Grown Foods Granola. Advice of the day: Get yourself some Love Grown Granola. It is the most tasty, gluten free, wonderful, crunchy, delicious granola on the face of this Earth. Any flavor. I’ve gone through about 5 bags in the last 3 weeks or so. Um… yeah…. I’m a piggy.

If I were an ant, I’d want to be stranded on this desert oasis…

I mean dessert… actually breakfast will suffice! Did someone say gluten-free Pumpkin Zucchini Bread?

Question: What’s red and green and BURSTING with flavor?

Answer: You’ll find out tomorrow. Mwahahaha.

Any guesses what this is?

Last but not least, we have balls. I do love balls… of nuts. Er… dates and nuts… and other stuff.

Stay tuned for tomorrow when I reveal some recipes…
