SLO for the Weekend: San Luis Obispo Bound

I’ve been traveling quite a bit lately. Enjoying ever minute of it, too. This weekend is no exception with my tally of traveling.

I think it all started with the Pebble Beach Food and Wine Festival. Meeting all those Food Network Stars was just too fun. Then there was Arizona part of a vacation with my family to Sedona. The last part of that trip I was picked up by Kelly and Katie to hike the Grand Canyon. There was Napa with Anne where wine tasting met cupcake tasting. Boulder, Colorado was awesome. I learned so much from the Fitness and Health Bloggers Conference.

Yosemite has been my favorite so far, though. Hiking Half Dome was a one of a kind experience. And this weekend, I’m off traveling again.

I’m in San Luis Obispo for a friend’s wedding, living up the beautiful weather, fantastic scenery, and delicious wines.

Kris, a new and dear friend of mine just posted a little blurb about one of her favorite restaurants in SLO, one of which I hope I get to hit up while I’m visiting.

When I first met Kris at the Bloggers Conference in Boulder, she was passing out wines at one of the dinners. Kris handed out some wonderful wines that night, ones that have stayed in my mind (and in my photo albums) since then.

Introducing me to some of these Central Valley wines, Kris has me even more excited to try them while in San Luis Obispo. Hopefully time will allow some wine sips (a non-profit she’s involved with) in southern(er) California, and hopefully this will mark a second session with Kris. She’s incredible… and she knows great wines.

I can’t wait to post about my time in SLO and the great food I try and the yummy wines I get to try. And meet up with friends, new and old. Oh, and who can forget the wedding recap? I just love weddingsand wine… Don’t you?

Do you like weddings? Or are you just a reception-goer type of person?
Wines? What are your favorites? From which region or area do you prefer?
Red or white wines? Sparkling?
