Busy Living Life

April 29, 2010

What a week this has been! And it’s only Thursday! Yikes!

I’ve been super busy with exercising, work, my part time business venture (that I’m ABSOLUTELY loving! So fun!), signing up for my second half marathon for July (YAAAAAAY), makin’ chocolate (the cheating way), winning awards, and just living life. (more info on ALL of that below) Honestly, as busy as this week has already been, you’d think it would have gone by faster for me. But alas, it has not!

I wanted to start out this post by recapping this week’s eats with some of the more tasty dishes.

Morning Coffee-Cup-O-Oats with chocolate protein powder and maca

Loaded salad with Tahini Umeboshi Plum dressing (I PROMISE the recipe is coming)

Then sided with chickpeas, brown rice, and homemade raw pickled ginger

The boyfriend is into stuffing things lately… umm… anyway, he decided to surprise me and bought giant portabella mushrooms! And then he stuffed them with veggies and grass-fed lamb… at least he got the veggie portion right…

In all honestly, they were super good.

Along with great beverages to wash it down.

Mmmmmm.

Or, this weekend, we indulged in baked sweet potato fries, salad with strawberries, and homemade catfish ceviche (from an Alton Brown recipe)

——————————-

Now that we have the food portion of this post taken care of, let’s move on to my new business! I’m so excited about it and I am loving how much fun I get to have while “working.” I’ve been super busy meeting people, talking to people, changing skin with (practicing) dermatologist-made products, and adding leaders to my executive team! The motto for Rodan + Fields Dermatologists is “Changing Skin and Changing Lives” and this is truly what I’m helping to do.

My friend was a little shy to tell her story on my blog but she wanted me to pass on how the Unblemish line cleared up her cystic acne with nothing else would! She has so much more confidence now and it really has changed her life. How could I not love a business that does that?!

AND, I’m happy to tell everyone, that after only about 15 days really getting into my partnership with the doctors that created Proactiv Solution, now with their new company, Rodan + Fields, I am up for a promotion! And my first check will be here at the end of this week. Yay!

If you are interested in learning about award-winning products for acne, wrinkles, sun damage, or sensitive skin, OR if you would like to change your life by partnering with me and the doctors, send me an email! I’d love to discuss either!

In other news: I also won a blog award!!! Fun-lovin’ Angie over at Angie’s Healthy Living nominated me as one of her top twelve bloggers that bring Sunshine to her day! THANKS, Angie!! To follow with the rules of the award, and to continue it, I would like to present twelve blogs that bring me sunshine with every post I read!

you should see the email-wide fights my sorority sisters get into over tanning bed v. skin concerns. It’s a never-ending argument!

You are fan-freaking-tastic, my friend. I am all jazzed up after reading this post…the excitement is literally pouring out of my computer!

Thanks for the award – totally made me smile.

Oh, and jar of tahini in fridge and plastic tub of umeboshi plum paste are impatiently awaiting their opportunity to get acquainted…..I hear them talking to each other from across the room. They’re all, hey, when is she going to put us together to create salad dressing magic?
