Food & Wine (and SO MUCH FUN)

I’m not really sure where to start with explaining the events from the Pebble Beach Food and Wine event that took place this weekend. I’m not even really sure how to explain how incredibly amazing it was to be a part of it. Every single square inch of the weekend was perfect. The weather was perfect, the company was perfect, the wines, food, traffic, celebrities, the whole experience was perfect.

My girl, Anne.
Me enjoying the pre-event sun.

After Anne and I picked up our complimentary tickets to the Lexus Grand Tasting Event from Kiersten, the Foodbuzz representative (thanks, Kiersten!), Anne and I spent the first two and a half hours making our way around the T shaped, and incredibly large, tent filled with samples of recipe masterpieces and expensive wines. It took us that whole time to circle once… the place was huge.

Anne and I took a lot of pictures but most, unfortunately, didn’t really turn out too great. Oh well, I have the memories!

We saw Anne Burrell of Worse Cooks in America

My favorite Guy was there.

I love Guy!

Michael Symon was playing with mint leaves…

And getting a blurry picture with me. Sad it was blurry but SWOON

I even got to eat Michael Symon’s balls!

Meatballs, people! With sauerkraut and mint sauce. SO good.

Creeper Lori…?

No… Iron Chef Morimoto was signing a book for me!

Besides rubbing elbows with some of the biggest names in food, Anne and I ate…

Scallops as soft as butter with mango and crab salsa (OMG... incredible.)

I couldn't even tell you... egg shell filled something...

Trio: Marinated and seared mahi mahi (which was out of this world GOOD), a pineapple and pepper salsa, and pineapple ginger shooter

Skewer of duck pancetta in an asparagus soup (by far the most amazing thing I have EVER tasted)
Macadamia nut-crusted halibut with spicy mango salsa
Oysters topped with raw ahi tuna, a white sauce, and black caviar
Sweet and spicy vegan blueberry shooters made with blueberries, almonds, almond milk, and spicy microgreens. Topped with microgreens.
Chocolate ganache squares topped with either a basil cream or mocha cream

The sign above pretty much sums this dish up.
Soft rice block topped with grilled octopus and cream sauce.
Flavored Salts! So many!

Pork...?

We also did some alcohol tasting…

Thank you Belveder: Ginger beer + pepper infused Belveder +lime juice + ice = make it.

Could I be a beer model...? 😉
My partner in crime (and Food and Wine tasting...)
My love, Anne!
Me in the Big Chair.
Lush.

Sooooooooooo many pictures, none of the wines. There were over 300 wineries pouring and we didn’t made even a small dent in trying them.

Again, this was a wonderful experience and event!

We even played with Fork Art.

Overall, we had a blast. Check out Anne’s recap here! Thank you so much, Foodbuzz for giving us the opportunity to play with our food! …and score free goodies (Just so it’s clear, that’s water I’m toasting with…)

Bye!!!

What is one event you will never forget?
